Chapter 21 -Jesus in Jerusalem
Chapter 22 -Statements Jesus made about the future He gives two commandments
What do we learn from these passages?
1. Jesus rides into Jerusalem on a very humble animal. If we had been in the
crowd, would we have shouted “Hosannah”? Are we willing to be known today as a
follower of Christ?
2. Jesus drove out the business-men who bought and sold sacrificial animals and
regularly cheated the worshippers. Would he purge any of our churches today?
3. Jesus said His house (the church) should be a place of prayer. Do we spend
enough time in prayer at church or at home?
4. We learn that the day will come when God no longer invites those who
repeatedly refuse to accept Him as Lord of their lives.
5. Those who come to Christ must come on God’s terms. He makes the rules! It is
our duty to obey.
6. Do you find it easy to obey the two commandments He has given in this lesson?
Prayer:
Dear Jesus, Help us today to respond to the prompting of your Holy
Spirit to follow You and live each moment for You. Amen
