Chapter 7 - The conclusion of the Sermon on the Mount Chapter 8 - A chapter of
Christ’s healings Chapter 9 - Christ calls Matthew
What do we learn from these passages?
1. Isn’t it amazing that we worry just about everything in life, yet Jesus said,
“If we ask and are asking is according to His will, He would provide. Someone
once said, “why worry when you can pray.” Worry will get you no where but prayer
can remove mountains.
2. So often we judge people, but do we know enough about them to really pass
judgment? Is not this the business of God who will judge all people. Are we
really called to be “fruit-inspectors?” Just food for thought!
3. Jesus did many miracles in His day as in ours. Whether in the hospital or
elsewhere, He said he does these miracles so that we would show the world that
He is the Son of God and the world would come to believe. When one of our loved
ones is miraculously healed, do we publicly give God the Glory.
4. Are you a real witness for Jesus to others?
Would you like to be one? Can you say, “Here am I, Lord, what would You have me
to do?”
Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father, help us to wait on the Lord for directions.
Teach us to depend on You and help us to help our neighbors in their time of
need. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen
