Chapter 19 - The parable of the talents and Jesus enters the City of Jerusalem.
Chapter 20 - Jesus’ authority is questioned
What do we learn from these passages?
1. If we surrender our possessions to Jesus. we will gain more then we
surrendered.
2. We must not grow weary in working for the Lord. If we are faithful servants,
the time will come when we will hear our Master say, “Well done, good servant.”
3. Always be ready to share all that we have if Christ can use it for His
glory. (See Luke 19:30)
4. We need to Praise Jesus regularly and often! He is worthy of all our praise.
5. Jesus wept. He cared so much for Jerusalem that He wept, but could it be
possible that He is weeping today over our cities today?
6. Do we question Jesus’ authority over our lives? Are there certain things we
want to keep for ourselves?
7. Jesus spoke of the end of time. Are we prepared for the end of time? What
if His second coming would happen in the next hour? Would you be ready to meet
Him?
Dearest Lord, our Creator and our Redeemer,
We praise you, and thank you for our salvation and all the things you have given
to us. Help us to be good servants each and every day and be ready to meet you
when you call us home. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
