Chapter 15 - Crucifixion and Burial of Christ Chapter 16 - Resurrection and
Ascension of Christ
What do we learn in these passages?
1. How many times have we said “why waste our money on them?” “They are just too
lazy to work.” Are we capable of judging their physical or emotional needs? What
do we think Christ’s command is to us?
2. Have we ever betrayed Christ in word or deed? Have we really given Him glory
and praise for all the blessings of life?
3. Jesus calls us to pray but not enter into temptation. Consider this, you
can’t stop the birds from flying over our heads but we can stop them from
building a nest in our hair. We can keep from yielding to temptation if we try.
4. It is an age old question, “what shall I do with Christ?” Have we ever
answered that question for ourselves? After all, where we spend eternity will
depend on our answers.
5. “He is not here. He has risen.” What does that mean to me as an individual?
If He is really alive to us, then He must be in complete control of our lives.
6. He said, “Go!” This is a command for all of us to go not only to the neighbor
across the street; It is also a call to go out to the person we meet in our
daily walk of life as well as our overseas mission.
Prayer:
Teach us, Lord, that if we would inherit eternal life, then we must also take up
our cross daily and follow You in all of life. Amen
