Chapter 2 - Joseph flees to Egypt
Chapter 3 - Christ’s baptism
Chapter 4 - Satan tempts Christ and Christ calls some

What do we learn from this lesson?
1. It is important to read Jesus’ family tree to prove all the prophecies came true concerning his birth.
2. It is very important that Christ becomes the foundation of our lives.
3. This lesson teaches us that even in this age of many false religions or the absence of religious morals, those who are wise will still seek Christ.
Is Christ the center of your life?
4. In time of need, we do not need to yield to ungodly practices, but through prayer, God will supply all we need.
5. Even in the dark seasons of life, Christ still has light to show us the way.
6. Christ still calls people to serve Him. It is the really happy and successful person who will hear and obey His call.

Dear Jesus, Thank you for Your faithfulness. Thank You for the privilege of reading Matthew and reminding us of Your birth, Your temptations,Your Baptism, and Your call to be disciples. Though we may not feel your presence all the time, help us to recognize that you are always with us.
Amen.
