July 29 Ecclesiastes 5-8

What can we learn from these verses?

1. Guard your steps when you enter the house of God. Be in an attitude of worship. Be prepared to listen to God.

2. Don't make foolish vows/promises to God.

3. You can never earn enough money to make you happy. Don't depend on money for happiness.

4. Our possessions are a gift from God We need to be good stewards of them. Focus on the Giver and not the gift.

5. Thinking about death reminds us that there is still time for change. We still can change the direction of our lives.

6. Wisdom is the ability to see life from God's perspective and take the best course of action.

Prayer: God, help me to see all things from your perspective and to live my life accordingly. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen.
