Ps. 144 - A battle psalm
Ps. 145 - God is faithful
Ps. 146 - God reigns
Ps. 147 - God's pleasure
Ps. 148 - Let all creation worship and praise God
Ps. 149 - A victory celebration
Ps. 150 - A closing hymn of praise

1. Our praise expresses our appreciation and admiration to God. We praise
God not only
for what God has done (creation, blessings, forgiveness) but also for
who God is
(holy,loving, just, forgiving, faithful).
2. Praising God takes our minds off of our problems and puts them on God,
the answer
to our problems.
3. Praising God takes our minds off of our weakness and puts it on God's
power.
4. Praising God takes our minds off of the temporary and puts it on
eternity.
Praising God lifts our perspective from the earthly to the heavenly.
5. Praising God leads us from individual meditation to corporate worship.
6. Through our praise we tell others about God's mighty acts. Their faith
will grow.
7. Hallelujah means "Praise the Lord." Psalms 146-150 are called the
"Hallelujah"
Psalms.

Prayer: God, help me to praise you everyday, no matter where I am or what I
am doing.
In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen.
