Chapter 22 - Abraham offered His Son to God
Chapter 23 - Sarah dies
Chapter 24 - Abraham desires a wife for Isaac

What do we learn from this lesson?
1. How far will we trust God to the offering up of our only son? Many parents have trusted their children to God or released them to the mission field of the world. Some have lived. Some have died. But all were given to God to further His Word and to follow the command of God to send laborers into the field. What am i willing to do for God? All that He asks?
2. The most precious verse is the one claimed by many parents and children when facing great disease or great times of need. God will provide. We must never forget that. That is God’s promise to all who will trust all things, even life itself to Him.
3. If we are faithful in our duties and responsibilities to God, people will recognize that and will come to our aid whether it be a resting place for our deceased loved ones or some other need. People are always ready to help those whose lives have been a beacon of light in their lives.
4. Abraham is a father concerned for his child and seeks a wife for Isaac of his own people. In this is much joy to be found for if we let them choose a mate for our children all will be well and we will be greatly blessed.
5. Rebekak said, “I will go.” I will be a wife to isaac. “I will go”. Has been the battle cry of many young people who have answered the call of God to enter full time Christian service wherever that call would lead them. This means, Lord, my life is in your hands. I am but Thy servant at Your disposal for as long as you see fit.

Prayer:
O God, teach us that the greatest thing we can give to Thee is the cry, I will go and I will do whatever you want me to do. Amen
