Chapter 14 - The Israelites leave Egypt
Chapter 15 - Moses and the Israelites sang
Chapter 16 - God sends food for the Israelites

What do we learn from these chapters?
1. How do you think the children of Israel felt when they saw Pharaoh’s army coming toward them? Scared! Very Afraid! Filled with Fear! Have you experienced something in your life that filled you with fear? Perhaps your home was destroyed, perhaps you lost your job, your marriage fell apart, or there was a death in the family. All of us have experienced fear! Remember God said “Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” God took care of the Israelites and He will take care of us.
2. The Israelites watched the power of God destroy their enemies. They walked across the Red Sea on dry land only to watch the waters return and cover the chariots and all of the Egyptian army, and they sing to the Lord recalling the events that just happened and praise God for their deliverance. This should be an example for us. We need to Praise God often!
3. But it wasn’t long until the Israelites start to complain. The water is bitter. Are we complaining today?
4. After the water became good at God’s directions, the people demand food. We have one prayer answered and immediately pray for something else. We need to remember these grumbling Israelites and trust our Lord in all of our problems. God took care of them and provided their needs and He will do the same for us.

Prayer:
Dear Jesus, Forgive us for complaining. Help us to thank You and praise You for taking care of us, and help us to trust you today for all that we need . In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
