4. “Now the wall of the city had ________ foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve _________ of the Lamb.” (21:14)
5. “The twelve gates were twelve pearls, each individual gate was of one ______. And the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass.” (21:21)

Chapter 21 - A New Heaven and a New Earth
Chapter 22 - The River and the Tree of Life

What do we learn from this lesson?
1. Chapters 21-22 is the most comforting chapters of all of John’s Revelation. It gives the Christian the promise of a Heaven without the presence of all the forces of evil we have to contend with today.
2. Heaven is a place with no more tears, and no more pain.
3. Can you imagine walking through the gate of pearl and walking down the street of transparent gold. Maybe seeing the King Jesus on His throne. This must be great comfort to all Christians and maybe even joy to the Christians on hospital beds awaiting death or convalescent homes.
4. No night to take away the fear of darkness for the Lamb of God provides all the light necessary to enjoy all the beauties of heaven.
5. We must never forget that only those who keep His commandments and have accepted His Son as our Lord and Savior will enter this beautiful place called “heaven”. There is still only one way to the Kingdom of God and that is the way of the cross.

Prayer:
Dear God, help us to live a life of service to You and our community, obeying all Your commandments and keeping faith in You so that we will be welcomed into Your eternal home. Amen
